For everyone that is having the Fasting Problems with there snakes not eating here is what you need to do....

First and for must research your snake and make sure that you have the Right Temps in the Cage and the humidity is right, cause these will stress your snakes out and they well refuse to eat.

Second sometimes you will come across this because of lack of housing ect, they like to feel secure and protected..

third URI- could also be the cause of this non eating this is and upper respiratory Infection and can cause weezing and sickness in you Herp's. I would also like to add please make sure that you local vets are Herp vets cause I would hate for one of you guys to go to take your Snake to the vet to find out that your vet doesnt do reptiles.

I was wondering if someone can help me. I just got a young ball python two weeks ago. My boyfriend and I tried feeding him about for days ago. But he didn't take. So we figured he wasn't hungry. Since then he has been curled up in his hiding spot. He moves positions all the time but always curls right back up and won't come out even at night. We noticed his eyes were milkey so I thought he was going to shed. Now his eyes are normal again and he's still hiding. I feel bad I just want him to be comfortable. I hope someone can help. I have done so much research and can't figure it out.. Maybe I'm just over reacting.

the reason a ball python wont eat is because they dont like being in big tanks as they are sleepy and lazy, i have to of my own and i will be breeding them shortly!!! so when they are born you can buy ine if you like your snake will certainly like a bit of company!!! also i am selling my chile rose tarantula she is almast 1 year old and very friendly you can even cuddle her! and shes very tame too.

Help if possible....

I have fed my western hognose a mouse that was too big. I was going to give it to my hog island boa but she didn't take it so I put it in the hognose cage, he ate the whole thing even though it took 45 minutes!!! 24 hours later he was very uncomfortable, dripping around mouth and hissy, he drank a lot of water too. My worry is that although digestion has taken place - rotting has superseeded the process. The snake regurgated the mouse exactly 24 hours later, but what about poisoning? Can anyone offer some advise? Are the stomach acids strong enough to kill the bacteria responsible for rotting or am I looking at poisoning. Thank you in advance.

regards

dan

Church- my snake hasnt eaten in about 6 months. bak in februaury i took her from my bfs apartment and brought her over to mine, it was snowing out that day but she has no signs of a respitory infection. it is now may 21st and she hasnt eaten since the january. i had tried feeding with three differnt mice and a rat once, she wont eat. i had left a mouse in her tank for about a week which ive never done before but she ignored it. she comes out at night like normal and has been yawning alittle bit more than unusal, like shes hunting. wat could be her deal??? i take her out and handle her. i brought her outside too and noticed shes been alittle more aggresive.
