i have a murray-darling python and she wont eat.

she is only a few months old and about 400mm or 12in long. previous owner (breeder) was feeding her twice weekly with frozn pinky rats. there is a problem with pinky rat supply in nsw at the moment so i can only offer her pinky mice. daytime tank temp is 32c. heat off at night 18-20c. tank has heat mat and uv light. she has water and a hide. she looks very healthy and is initially agro but then very placid. any clues. cheers. pistol

I know its a bit late but it sounds like your snake wants to shed its skin, usually when they don't eat that is what that means.

The mention of snakes sends a cold shiver down my spine...I do not stand their sight. So what does make the snake not eat when it wants to shed its skin? Is it some sort of process that sends it to a moment or two of reflection? What then happens after it has shed its skin? Does it gain more appetite or its life span reduces?
