My turtles "nails" are getting too long. I haven't tried to trim them before. How do I do it and what do I do if I trim too closely?

Don't trim them... you are not supposed to!

MY TURTLES NAILS ARE VERY LONG AND IM AFRAID HE'LL BRAKE THEM AND HURT HIMSELF OR SCRATCH HIS GIRLFRIEND HOW DO I SOLVE THIS SHOULD I TRIM THEM OR TAKE HIM TO A VET...HOW DO I FIND A VET DO I NEED INSURANCE FOR THE TURTLE IF I GO TO THE VET

you should go to the vet and tell them your priblem so your turtle will not hurt him self or hurt his girlfriend.

my snapping turtle bit my painted turtles leg off and now my painted turtle isnt moving around but hes alive.. what should i do?
