I love big snakes because it keeps the riff raff out of my apartment. But the manager wants me out now. What can I do?

if you realy love snakes i would move to a place were they allow you to have pets.

That is the most sensible argument. Why does the landlord want you out - because of your snakes? Are they illegal to keep there?

If your lease allows pets, your landlord cannot kick you out. If it says no pets, he has every right to. What I would consider most important is yourt overall quality of living if you have a landlord who hates you. If it's just because of the snakes, go elsewhere unless it's one of those to die for apartments - then fight it in small claims if your lease allows pets.

Snakes are one animal that I am not a fan of. I don't know why but they don't appeal to me at all. My dad was afraid of them too. It was so funny to see him jump if he saw a little garden snake outside. Poor guy. I will look at them at the zoo behind a thick sheet of glass but other than that no thanks. How big are the snakes that you have? What do you feed them? I couldn't feed them small animals oh it makes me cringe.

I have always been creeped out by snakes too. As a child we would take annual vacations to California and always visit this specific beach. In order to get to it you had to go down this manmade hill. We saw a snake and me and my sisters started screaming our heads off. Our Dad had already walked a little bit ahead of us so here we were on one side of the snake while my Dad and our brothers were on the other side. Thankfully it slithered away but ever since then I just cannot stand them.

I used to date a guy who was really into snakes. You need a really big cage and they do smell. Not to mention you have to keep the heat up to make them comfortable. Its not my favorite pet to keep.

Comment #7 snakelover from ask me -

I haven't had much issue with my snakes having an odor. I keep my cages clean so I guess that helps a lot. If your lease has a no pet agreement or stipulates a certain type you might be out of lot. I currently have a red tailed boa and a ball python as well a lizard. I had to clear it all with my landlord first though.
