Whiskers from Guest Room Bed -

The holidays are here. Do you know how to safeguard your pets. Do you know which plants and decorations are toxic or merely irritating? Don't make the holidays fatal for the animals.

Comment #1 lily from deep south -

Thanks for posting this. During the holiday rush I forget that even my plants could be poisonous to my pets. I have already had to remove some of my decorations on my tree.

Is lime (the produst used for the yard) poisonous to dogs?

There are so many human foods that dogs are allergic to. During the holidays, if a person has lots of visitors and/or a holiday party...food can drop on the floor very easily and a dog will eat it without knowing the dangers!

Some of the foods that can make a dog sick or even kill them are: Raisens, grapes, onions, anything with caffine, chocolate of course, the seeds or cores of fruit.

Please be careful.

I just put lime on my lawn and my 1yr old dog is acting different. Could it be frome the Lime?

Owners also need to be careful about food that drops on the floor during holiday parties. So many ingredients are toxic to dogs.

Comment #6 Big Dog from The Woods -

It is sad when we are so worried about what our pets eat when we are stuffing our mouths full of crap
