Dressing up your pet for Halloween

Do you dress up your pets for Halloween? I don't but I do think it would be funny. Once I took red garland and put it around Sadie, the older one, for a Christmas but that is as far as it went with the whole dressing up thing. I don't know how well they would tolerate it anyway. They would probably rip it off and eat it lol. I have seen some really cute pictures of pets dressed up for Halloween.

My dog is really small and they have very cute costumes in her size, but she would go nuts. I think it would be cute to dress her up. We sometimes take pictures of her at Christmas in a santa hat.

We bought a skeleton costume for our pet, one that glowed in the dark, but he would never wear it long enough for us to enjoy it

I have seen all kinds of pictures of the cutest pet costumes but I have yet to see a pet that would tolerate one for long. All the pets in the pictures look like they were just waiting the chance to run off. They just don't seem to like them at all and will do whatever they can to get out of them as quickly as possibe. So it seems kind of silly to waste the time and money on it.

My mom had a great poodle once. She didn't act like a poodle, but then she was raised with labs so maybe that's why. But she had a costume she would wear. We got her a little biker coat, looked like leather, and a head wrap that was made for her that a friend of mom's had sewed. She also made her a pair of "biker boots that had no soles so her feet weren't fully enclosed. That was her ha;;oween costume and she never tried to take it off. The boots didn't stay on very well but she left them alone. I think they just don't like things that cover their feet or ears.

It is very hard to find pets that enjoys being in a costume as most of them have never experienced it before. But those that do can make your Halloween really fun since they are so adorable, just remember to respect your pets and not force them wear it :)

Dogs should not be made to be dressed in costumes. Only one kind of pet should be dressed in costumes, and that would be a monkey.
