Do you have a pet sitter?

I am getting ready to go on a two week trip. I am having a hard time figuring out what to do with my pets. Does anyone here have a pet sitter and if so how did you find on you trusted? HAs anyone board their pets with a vet before?

We have our maid stop by everyday and check on, play with and feed the little beast. Costs less than having her stay at the vet and the maid is happy with the extra work.

We had a pet sitter when we lived in our townhouse. I don't remember how I found her, but she was great. She came over as often as I needed to look after the cats, clean the litter, and feed and water them. We paid her by the day. Since then we've been able to ask neighbors to look after the girls for us.
Look in the phone book and interview pet sitters. I wouldn't think burglars are advertising.

We have a girl that watches our pet at her house. She doesn't kennel them. She lets them be part of the family. I like that alot. It makes me feel good knowing that my dog is not locked up in a cage.
