I read a story recently in Readers Digest about 82 year-old Jean Keane, a former rodeo daredevil from Minnestoa, Keane now lives on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska and for the last 26 years she has been feeding a flock of Bald Eagles during the winter.

She started feeding a pair that showed up in her yard in the 70's with leftovers from the fish processing plant where she worked at the time. Her flock has been growing ever since. Now with donations from locals fishermen she gives out over 500 pounds of fish a day. Photographers come from all over to take pictures.

I hope you get this message. I happen to know about Jean Keane

from many years ago when she lived in Bloomington Minnesota. She was working out of her home there as a dog groomer and she use to groom my two poodles. It was fun going to her place, she kept a pet crow in a cage and her son had a pet tarantula (somewhere in the house). I knew she use to do trick riding on horses at rodeos around the country - she dyed her hair, the mane and tail of the white horse she rode the same color -red! She had some great pictures of her acts on the walls of her house, it was fun to look at them. I had not seen her for many years and then she showed up on the nightly news - the feedimg eagles, etc- I and I was amazed to see my old dog groomer on TV however not surprised at what she was going because thats just the great kind of person she is.
