Rescue Specific Pets

Has anyone ever gone through a rescue agency that only rescues certain breed of dogs? I know a few people that have gone through these kind of agencies. One lady rescued 2 grey hounds. After they are done racing they can go up for adoption. Also a friend of mine went through a boxer breed adoption and got a really cute female boxer. I guess if you are looking for a specific breed that this would be the way to go.
