I have an eight year old collie/lab mix who is quite a bit overweight. His name is toby and is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet. I have a tendancy to spoil him sometimes, table scraps ect...I was wondering if you might have some good ideas on dog exercising that are not too strenous for him.I would also like to know if you might have any good ideas for a better dog food, amounts that should be given ect..and if it is possible to make an organic versian perhaps using oatmeal? He is precious to me and the vet said i would lose him in a few years if i didnt do something. please help any and all advice would be welcome.

i need an image of an overweight german shepherd if you have one because my sisters dog is over weight and she doesn't see it in her dog but maybe if i show her an image that is bad enough i can get her to stop feeding her dog all kinds of table food if you could e-mail me and give me a picture so thank you!

So, I believe that my boyfriend`s cat is overweight. I was wondering if it`s best to take him to the vet to be assessed? Or would finding my own diet for him be sufficient?

Obesity in lab and GSD is common problem. the only solution is diet controll and regular exercise. its better not to spoil our beloved and put them on the verge of life and death.
