Our dog has the worst breath! During supper we have to lock him in the bedroom, cause I can't stand the smell when he his sitting there panting! Someone told me that it could be a sign of kidney disease and I should have him tested. What are your thoughts on that? Is there a certain smell to determine if it is kidney disease? I would hate to spend the money on blood work, just to find out he just has bad breath.

I am not sure if there is a special with kidney disease but he is showing any kind of abnormal signs I would take him to the vet. It is better to catch something like that early. If you are worried about his breath get his some greenies and a few breathe friendly treats.

they also have toothpaste for dogs.. it would help with healthy gums and teeth. I would try getting him the toothpaste and also give him the breathe friendly treats.
