'Is it malnourished, or does it have dumb rabies?'

The baby raccoon who lives in the attick has taken up residence by the back door and is being fed every 4 hours (catfood, chicken, chicken livers, vitamins and fresh water) and it seems to be getting stronger each day. About 8 raccoons, two possums, an armadillo and a stray cat come each night for the large bowls of food and water, so the little one has much fierce competition for food. Although, due to heavy clouds and rains, there has been little sun for two weeks, it's odd that the baby is here for food during the day. It comes when called, alternately eats and naps and makes frequent visits to the water bowl. What's wrong and how long before it gets completely well or dies from rabies? I'm keeping most of my cats inside, even though all they have to do to drive away the raccoons is to hiss or cuff at them once. What do you all feed an animal in this case? Do you think it will become a pet? It acts like a cat.
