|   We have pheasant throughout the winter and most of spring, we put out course ground corn feed. You can buy big bags at feed stores, sold for chickens. We were snowed in for a few days and ran out of corn so I threw out dry dog food that I put in a bag and crushed, they ate it, maybe because there was nothing else around. |

Ok I was putting corn out and would get up to 17 birds. I have not seen them for a week now and was wondering if they found a new food source or something could have scared them away. We have snowpacked gravel roads about a mile away. All of they fields are covered with snow. Do I need something to help them digest this corn, how close should it be , and what should it be |
