'Tuna bad for cats?'

I read somewhere that feeding your cats tuna from a can regularly is actually bad for them. I have no idea if this is true or why it would be bad and I can't remember what all the article said. Has anyone else heard this and can you tell me why?

You're correct. Tuna is not good for cats. Cat food is good for cats. Occasional tuna is probably OK, but better safe than sorry.

Yes your cats need nutrition just like any other animal or humans. They need a variety of nutrients and they cannot get that just by eating tuna.

As much as I'v heard about cats and tuna it does not sound to good. So why take a chance. Stick to the tuna that is prepared by the pet food companies and keep the canned tuna that you buy at the grocery store for your tuna helper and tuna clubs.

How big is the price different between a normal cat food and a can of tuna? If you really love your cat and has the resources I suggest you take the cat food. But of you don't have that "big" budget (because of the global recession), I suggest you feed them anything that is available, even fish bones. That is the original design for cats right? ... to eat small rodents like mices and birds. Well you can say I am not much of a cat lover.

Yes if you feed you cat tuna it will DIE emedtlySo i say dont ever feed a cats tuna or breadsticks or pizza or spageti or chicken or mac n chese or corn.

Tuna is used in homemade cat food, it is healthy. Get the water packed, not the oil packed.

yes, tuna is just fine for your cat. It is fish and cats love fish.
