Not cat food you buy in a package in the store. I want to cook good (healthy) meals for my cats. Is there a cat cook book? Comment #1 KateyBate (66.227.233.47) - I have never heard of a cat cookbook. We use Eukanaba and the kitty's love it. I do know you have to be careful about dairy, so maybe using a non-dairy cookbook would be useful. I can't imagine serving my cat from something I cooked. Comment #2 Fred (152.163.35.156) - My cat always loves to eat from our plates. We often have to put her in the bedroom to get through a meal. One of her favorites is cooked raisins! Comment #3 KateyBate (66.227.233.47) - You know, my kids have started only wanting to eat the dippy yolk of the eggs, so we have been giving our cats the egg whites. They love them, and their coats seem to be shining more than ever. I don't know how frequently this is a good idea, but they have been eating them a couple times a week of late with no adverse effects we can see. Comment #4 Courtney (1) from The South - I feed my cat Iams, I don't think I would give my cat anything else. Although I know some people every once in a while will give their cat a little tuna. Comment #5 endora (24.45.126.104) - I didnt think it was very healthy to feed them anything but the recommended cat food you buy in the store. I thought they mixed it a certain way just for the digestion of cats. Comment #6 lily from deep south - I usually buy Proplan or MaxCat (Nutro). I have tried Eukanuba and my cat didn't take to it too well. Comment #7 Mikesworld from Atlanta - I personally use Instinctive Choice and Life's Abundance for my cat and dog. The best stuff around by far - it's all natural and I've never seen my pets happier. Read about it at www.petyoda.com Comment #8 harold (63.176.159.169) - you should post your link. there is a box for it. Comment #9 HEidi (67.187.156.89) - This food is NOT good! It is FILLed with grain. Cats do not need or utilize grains as they are MEAT eaters. Comment #10 Lynn (71.99.92.105) - I recently discovered that "treat" feeding my cat commercial "people" food, such as battered fish, frozen chicken that has "broth" injected into it, or other commercial items is causing her to have seizures. I suspected this about a year ago, when I would share my cooked chicken breasts from my dinner plate with her (she is very thin, so I feel sorry for her), and she started having seizures. I cut that out when I suspected the problem, and the seizures stopped. That was a year ago. Not one seizure. About five days ago I bought some fresh seafood (cooked, coated) from a local restaurant, and gave a little to her each day for three days. The seizures returned. I am convinced it is MSG, and so many animals now have seizures, I am wondering how much of it is attributed to MSG from giving them food from our plates. I wanted to tell everyone what I learned. Comment #11 Bill Howse from Surrey - feed your cat a bowl of tuna or chicken, and maybe mix up vegies really thin, and DO NOT FEED YOUR CAT GRAIN OR RICE OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH THOSE, because there bad for cats, cats are meat eaters Comment #12 Tyf from United States - Tuna is not good for cats you idiot. Comment #13 Big Dog from The Woods - Insulting people isn't going to help them any. Comment #14 Tyf from United States - Sat Aug 29 00:51:33 2009 Nothing will help ANY of these people. Im 13, and I know more about animal care than all of these freakin' crackheads on here. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
