Ever consider a first aid kit for Fido or Fluffy? There are a number of items and techniques to help a pet stay comfortable until professional help can be reached. Of course in any emergency situation, your veterinarian should be notified for immediate treatment. Choking The Heimlich Maneuver can be very effective for pets

The only pet care I've ever really used is a styptic spray for cuts and some gauze bandaging. I didn't realize you could have such an extensive pet care kit.

The only thing I have for my dog is a brush, shampoo, food, treats, chew sticks, nail clippers, collar, and a leash. She has lived just fine for 7 years this way. But she is a backyard dog, if you lived in the country or near something where your dog could get hurt, you may want to find a first aid kit.

I have a whole cabinet full of stuff for my dogs. Toothpaste, brush, ear medicine, flea treatment, heartworm, neosporin and stuff like that. I have never got and purchased a specific dog first aid kit. My older dog got bit by a german shepard on the back near the top of the tail. I put neosporin on it and watched it really good. The next time she was at the vet I told him about it and he took a look and said I did a really good job of treating it. :)

Never thought of a first aid kit for pets! Our pets are just like one of the family, and I can't believed that something that important was overlooked! Getting one!

After a couple of casual, small injuries that cost too much, I bought a simple pet specific first aid kit from www.ezgobag.com. Might even be like insurance 'cuz I haven't needed it since!
