I was on my routine trap checking duty, and noticed a fox had been caught for several days in one of my large, bear leg holds. His leg was nearly severed off and it looked pretty grim tom say the least. I have taken a first aid course before, and think I will be able to take care of and heal the fox myself. Has anyone done this before? Just looking for someone with past experience so I can relate.

We have a fox that frequently visits the back door and waits for food.

Do we feed him/her of no encourage him/her.

Was quite mangey looking but seems alot better now.

If we feed him what should it be??

He seems friendly infact even let'sme get very close with my Camera.

Waits at the back door for me to come out and yesterday entered the back door(actually this scared me a little)

So what should I do ??

Marianne

Hi,

Me and my mum was sat in the dining room yesterday and looked out the window and saw a fox with no fir we felt very sorry for the fox and found it very strange for the fox to be out in the day time. Then today we were getting out the car well it was very early evening around 6 oclock and found this strange too. We dont know who to ring or anything if anyone could help we also have a dog and dont want the dog to catch anything from the fox through it being on the garden.

Thank you

Where are you trapping bear. Just feed the fox and it will lick its own would until it heals even if it looses the foot. I have done this. I fed it deer meat but hi protein dog food will do.
