Dr. Daniel Kamen, D.,C. from Chicago (Contact Member) -

This is my first time on this board.

I am an animal chiropractor and author the the book, The Well Adjusted Dog.

There is a great chiropractic technique that can prevent (not cure) canine hip dysplasia.

If you email me, I will email back a short video clip of that chiropractic treatment.

Thank You,

Dr. Daniel Kamen, D.C.,

My Shih Tzu bitch is 17mths old and is 7weeks pregnant. During the last week I have been able to hear and audible 'click' every time she walks. I would hate this to cause a rheumatic or arthritic problem later down the line or interfer with her birth in two weeks time.

Do you know of a Canine Chiropractor in the Gold Coast region of Queensland, Australia that can come to my rescue. A vet may opt for an operative answer that I dont want to go with.

I would prefer the less invasive approach first.

thank you. Please call 07 55641809 ASAP

Hi. I have an almost one year old shepherd/lab mix dog. Approximately 3weeks ago, she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. My vet has decided that surgery is invasive and possibly a bit premature. At his suggestion, she is on Cosequin. So far, so good. However, she tires out quickly (after about an hour of swimming or running) and begins to gimp or bunny hop from the apparent discomfort. Any tips would be suggested.

Thank you.

I am looking for a canine chiroprator in my area or surrounding areas--Schuylkill, Berks, Lehigh, Carbon or Luzerne Counties in PA. My 7 1/2 year old Shih Tzu mix has a bulged disk in his back/neck area. He has been on several rounds of prednisone and muscle relaxers that have helped in the past, but not this time. I would appreciate any information.

Our 7yr. old black lab-blue heeler mix injured her knee in a rabbit chasing accident. Her exrays revealed that she had a torn ligament in her knee. after two months of nonexercise and the steriod based drug rimadyle her knee is better but now vets seem to think she may have a bulged disc . we have noticed that after she is manipulated she seems to walk better and she gets up more readly. I would like your suggestion for a video or book so that we can help her at home. We live in the middle of Kansas and cannot afford to get her to the vets at K-State Vet. Hospital. They want 300.00 up front just to see her. I think a video would be great. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Julie Brosemer Emporia, Ks.

I have a 7 y/o german sherpard /rottie mix that has been screaming in pain with his head stuck to the left and he also raises his left leg when he has these attacks. I have taken him to the vet and they placed him on medication (rimadyl)but that it not helping. What else can I try to stop him from being in pain?

I too have a dog that injured his knee. He is a 9 yr old white boxer that already has arthritis but nothing stops him from running-he slipped a week ago. I know he would be better if he got his knee and back adjusted. I'm not a big fan of the drugs-I also work for a chiropractor that is too busy hunting to take a look. Do you have a video to help at home, please! We live in the middle of nowhere.

Hi,

I have a Daschund and she is 2yrs old, a few days ago she was running in the back yard and must have fell and jolted her back and now she has been diagnosed with IVDD. She is paralyzed but still has deep pain. The doctor told us she may recover and she may not. We have no intentions of putting her to sleep because of this set back. We are a young couple and this is the first Daschund and we love her too the end of time! We are willing to do anything we can to make her more comfortable but we would really appriciate some advice of any kind that may help us. Our financial situation does limit what we can do as well. Please any kind of advice would be so muchly appriciated. Thank you

"downtown chicago chiropractor"

I have a dog; he got hit by a motorcycle. After that incident my dog can’t stand on his feet. Can the chiropractor treatment bring back my dog’s active body?
