'Looking to adopt Macaque or Capuchin'

I am looking to adopt a capuchin or a macaque I am real about this I have three years of training with the Macaque. I am prepared for all the responsibily and I will take an adult or baby I am willing to give a forever home for whatever reason you have to give your baby up. I wonder why people are attracted in aopting monkeys. Why not choose dogs, cats and birds instead. Monkeys must be left free in the wild. Well I know for a fact that birds are good to be free but it depends on the breed. Some birds like lovebirds are best kept as pets. Some breed of dogs are well behaved and domesticated as well as cats, so why not have one instead of Monkeys.
