I am thirty years old and looking for a position as a stable lass in Ireland.

I am actually a school teacher in France, but I am taking a sabbatical year from my job, starting in july 2009, to spend one year in Ireland and, during this year, hopefully gain experience in horse care.

Though my riding skills are not excellent, I have experience with mucking out, feeding/watering horses, cleaning stables, pasture care, etc... as I've been helping in my riding school and also had my own pony.

I am hard working, not afraid of early/late hours of work and you could rely on me for any general yard duties.

I would be able to work independently as long as you take a little time to explain how you want things to be done.

As I am aware I have no experience in such a position, I would be willing to work for free, as long as training and independant accomodation is provided for myself and my boyfriend, who is a fly fishing instructor and who would be working elsewhere.

I am really willing to learn any aspect of running a farm and willing to know more about breeding, working horses or health care...

As I usually work with children I would be glad to help, for instance, in a riding school, or could also be helpful with welcoming French tourists.
