Why are people so enamored with swolloing goldfish?

I assume you mean swallowing goldfish. Personally I think it's cruel. Kurt Cobain may have written the lyrics about eating fish because they don't have any feelings, but I think they do. This has been a hazing ritual for fraternities for a long time, and it makes no sense. I suppose it can't hurt the person - protein, you know - but I think it's waful for the goldfish.

This has been going on forever. I do agree that it is cruel behavior, and I wish people would think of fish as creatures worthy of the same respect given to cats, dogs, hamsters etc. I mean, if someone swallowed a hamster, people would be up in arms.

I remember in the 80's when it was the craze for "gerbiling" and animal rights people were up in arms. You'd never get that for swallowing a fish, which is a shame. Animals deserve respect - they are our fellow creatures on earth.

I am researching goldfish in my second grade science class. Can you tell me some goldfish predators and prey? I would also like to know how they are adapted to their habitat.

i think it is also a shame someone made up that thing about goldfish. its sad. think if you had 2 die a horrible and painful death by being swallowed!!!!!

ive heard of a person eating their boys hammy :( it was really sad and he was in a lot of trouble!!!!!

I joined a frat at college and when I was pledging I had to swallow goldfish's but not just one we had to see how many we could swallow in a minute I got 6, than i had to go to the hospital and get my stomach pumped because I was not able to digest them all. It sucked bad, DO NOT EAT GOLDFISH!
