not really better but they are less agressive and more fun to have since they actualy do stuff other than sit there all day.... but ferrets smell pretty bad too >.> best thing to do would be research the 2 and compare

What is more important than "what is better" is what are you happy with. At 54 years old, I've learned a long time ago not to worry about what others think is "cool" or "not cool". It should be about what you want, not what others want for you.

PS. The years of my lifetime are much happier years for me since I've focused more on what I want out of life and focused less on trying to be "cool" in the views of others.

This will be a personal preference. Both have their own characteristics and needs. Can't say one is better than the other. If you like each, but can't make up your mind on which to get then study them .. do research and learn all about them and their care and health. Todays Pet site below has good info and links on the ferret.
