Okay, i have a little boy who's only 6 to 7 weeks old. As much as i try to get him to stop biting, he just keeps at it! what should i do?! All i really know to do right now is scruff him, yell "no" and tap him on the belly then toss him away. but all he does is run right back to start at it again. And yes, he does bite nearly everything to an extent but he really seems to like biting people ESPECIALLY. I want to be able to love on him but i feel like all im doing is scolding him and pushing him away! how can that possibly form a good bond??

Hi! I saw your post, I am new and just replying to lots of posts at random. I hope your biter has slowed down a bit. But if not, here are a few tips, I totally know what you're going thru! Best ideas for this: Scruff him right away, put him on his back (still scruffed), then drag him along the floor and say No!. This will show him you are alpha ferret. Continue this until he walks away from you. No need to pat/smack his belly. He probably thinks you are playing with him, and he does not associate it with punishment. He might also be calling you to play with him. Does he bite then shake his head back and forth? He thinks you're a toy. This is still NOT ok! It does hurt! My boy does this to me, I'm still teaching him. But he's a much quicker learned now. Do the same things, and keep paying attention to him. Thats what he is after. And yes, it still helps you bond, whenever he bites, he wants attention. Don't put him down and ignore him, thats why he comes running back. Play time! I bought a big toy, and I stick my hand inside and I wrestle with him like that. Try it, that way he might associate that with playing, and not your hand! Is he biting anything else? I have more tips. Also try bitter apple spray, the cream is best if you can find it! I hope this help!!
