This cat is The Bengal Cat These cats are a Man made Bread of cat from Demestocated cats and the Asian Leopard Cat They grow to be Quiet large and you can Esily train these Cats to do typical "dog tricks" like Sit stay Roll over Excetra for a Simple link on these Cats here is a Starting point

Comment #51 Stanley from Canada -

these cats can be bought for 500$-2000$ (and more some are Show cats)

Obviosly you need Vet and Food but these cats Do need a Bit of space since they do get Fairly big but in a Normal House they should be fine just get them a Wheel to run in (for a Typical Wheel they run in just look it up on Youtube).

So ya you 9-15 year olds ask your parents for a Bengal Cat dont ask for a Cheetah there alot of work and you could end up on the Dinner meal with a Cheetah.

Hope this helps some of you

I think cheetahs are very interesting like most people in here and the reason i think cheetahs are great pets is because they bond with humans better than almost every large exotic cat. BUT they are endangered and that is why i think it is wrong to own them, i think for some more decades the reserves should only own them to get the population back up. If you really want a large exotic cat just get a tiger. Theres already like 15, 000 thousand in captivity and like 5, 00 in the wild experts guess. I have a pet tiger and they are great pets, if they are trained correctly and given the proper home they are very lovable but in order to own a large exotic cat you MUST have the correct permits, you must live in a good enough envirement for the animal to live, you have to put alot of time and effort into them, you cant just give them ordinary food you have to get food from zoo's or places like that. So before getting an exotic cat make sure you do ALL the research on them for pets, the goods and bads of them and just think of the many people who own exotic cats for a year or two until they get to big and give them away. Please for the animals and yourself make sure you will be able to take car of them for a very long time.

once in africa i killed i cheetah. its coat is hanging on my door. they r beautiful animals

Ok, I don't know much about exotic animals and how to handle them, but I just wanted to say something to those who think they are ready to own one.

Sure, it'd be really cool to own a cheetah or whatever kind of wild cat, but if you honestly think about it, do you think you'd ever get one? Like some other posters have already said, it costs a TON of money just to buy the animal, not including the permits you'd have to get. Not to mention how dangerous it could be. Yeah, exotic animals can be tamed, but something tells me it wouldn't be easy. These types of animals should live in their natural habitat, where they belong.

Try to shoot for something smaller, and less expensive, like a bobcat. My friend has one, and it's a complete sweetie.

I have a cheetah, its name is chetah girl 'cause it is a girl.

I so want a cheetah because I like big cats and I would like to have fun with it. I would really like one. Oh ya, I do have one. I feed it meat and water. I even give it raw fish!

Lets put it this way, if you have to ask how much a wild animal and its care would cost, then you in no way can afford it. If you are asking where to purchase one on a forum such as this you are in no way mature enough or intelligent enough to care for one. There it is, as simple as that.

It is a goal to kill all the cheeetahs u tree hugging low lifes excuse me while i go kill a cheetah MOOOOOAHAHAH!!!!!!

Cheetahs are very well suited for taming, and would be a regular companion of humans if they bred in captivity. But, they don't. Cheetah brothers chase a female for miles before she becomes aroused enough to mate.

Cheetahs have a long and fascinating history as pets. There was a Mogul who once kept a stable of 1000 of them.

I have been reading the messages about exotic pets and how dangerous some people seem to think they are - I have a regular common or garden cat. I am sure if I could pick it up I would find the numbers 666 on it somewhere. It is the most nasty vicious thing ever to walk the face of the planet.

Colin's garden cat is bad? The most it would do if he could pick it up would probably be attacking him and running. Just some nasty scratchs. Now imagine it is the size of a cheetah. Those nasty scratches would be much bigger and deeper and we don't know if then it would run or simply be taken by its instincts and finish the job.

I have a domestic cat. He is really sweet and sleeps with me every night. But even he (a 9 years old cat) sometimes scratchs me while playing and can make some nasty deep wounds (I don't cut his claws because he goes outside). Now everyone imagine what an animal the size of a cheetah would do to you just playing.

And even a domestic cat is sometimes unpredictable, every feline is. If you don't touch him he can't hurt you but if you want to have contact with him (and I believe everyone who says "I want a cheetah" in here want to touch it) you have to always be very attentive to his behavior and actually know to interpretate it (even people who worked with wild animals for years get attacked _ see the example of Roy Horn).

Having an animal isn't for everyone, having a wild animal (specially a big cat) is much dificult and I'm not only talking about the costs, the time, the knowledge and ability.

hey wayde foster dont talk about amber like that i am 11 and i am a vet cheetahs are the nices big cats so dont say nothing!

Wayde is the only intelligent individual who seems to have any experience in this field. CN, did your mommy tell you that you are a little vet? Awww, thats cute. Unfortunately for you, real vets can spell, and can actually keep animals alive (wait, did you hear that? I can hear CN's favorite fish dying from here...)

Keep up the awesome work Wayde, because no matter what you say, the people that misspell words and lie about thier credentials will continue to adopt pets that they cannot care for.

For the rest of you, prevent the further killing of innocent animals by not adopting them, buying them fake diamond necklaces, or lying about how much money your daddy has. Stay in your trailers and keep pretending that you are worth the DNA that you are made of.

COMMENT 71 YOU ARE SICK.

Comment #73 LIVI THE CHEETAH LOVER (69.104.123.151) -

I've been wanting a cheetah since, well birth i guess =D. i had an old friend and her mom worked at a zoo and they raised a young and sick liger for about a year! to get a cheetah is very VERY hard. there's tests to take permits to get, training even and of course the beautiful cat itself is VERY expensive! it's not like you're buying a purebred pup! try more so like a Very large healthy very famous horse! cheetahs can cost like $15, 000 or more! but it'd be soooooo worth owning such a beautiful creature! =( and i still wann=t to go to Africa to study them!!!

My cheetah has a problem with humping my friends' legs. Could this be solved by simple nutering? He is only 5 months old so I do not want to rush the process. It's starting to get bad though cause his male organ is about 21 inches erect now so if it slips into a girl's , he would tear that up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My number 773-251-4916.
