It looks like a lot of people here enjoy the companionship of pet rocks. They will eat almost anything, so you don't have to worry about their diet. They do enjoy a good barbeque and beer and particularly like strawberry ice cream. They're not too keen on spinach, but will eat it.

Rocks are easy to train and quickly master playing dead and laying down. They will also sit up for long periods of time and will roll over if given a slight nudge. Drop them and they will normally land right side up. They don't swim well, but can stay underwater until told to come up.

Nice thing about commands is that you don't have to shout them. Some use a whistle, but most simply think it.

Rocks live extremely long lives and normally join their owners when they pass on. Some have been passed down from generation to generation, but there's no written record for how long one has actually survived.

Vet checks can be once a year unless you see some signs of illness like sleeping more than usual, sneezing, watery eyes, or heavier breathing than normal, except when they're in heat.

todayspet.blogspot.com has excellent info on caring for your pet rocks. They are super, low mainentance pets!

After a long hiatus, I have returned! I used to be ktravis, for those of you who are wondering. Currently, I'm waiting for my new pet rock to finish drying nail polish. Rosarita was left in the science lab and stolen :(

Jesser is my new rock. He's kinda in the shape of a thumb (long and somewhat skinny) and has thick red and gold stripes I've painted on him. I hope he drys soon...

Jesser: This. is. boring. KAT WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME SIT THROUGH THIS!?

Me: Cuz I said so. :)

things to know about your rock-

these rocks have emotions too. so when you yell at it when you are angry at someone else please please dont yell at your rock it will make him/her feel so bad they might try to kill themselve

hello,

i have just gotten my 5th pet rock the reason what happend to the other 4 is that

rock #1(shawntey)= she had died after a horrible incident when she protected me from getting shott in the head!!!

rock #2(george cluney)= this rock died when we were on the swings. i was pushing him so high that he flew off the swing and crashed on the cement.

rock #3(poo poo)= lol the name but tragic story. he had died when we were playing foot ball he was almost to the touch down zone when a bull dozer had came and killed it.

rock #4(jackie)= she died because she was so lonely not having a rock mate and could make any rock baby's so remember please make sure you listen and feel for your rock.....

Im here to explain how important pet rocks are. At some point in his life... He will come to in in dyer need. At this point you must help the rock financialy because they"re not good with money. So only because it is YOUR pet you must give them your pay for 9 1/2 weeks. If that doesnt work you must then morgage your house.... Sorry but you got to do what you gotta do.. a Rock is that much more important than your own.

You are all indeed "strange" no one wants a stupid pet rock. it belongs outside in the dirt so we can kick them and walk on them. most "normal" people would invest their time and money on a dog or at least a gold fish. geez people these days are odd.

Weddings

Innterventions

Family vacations

Funerals

And even when your going to get new shoes for that big date you have

so treat him with respect like Jasmon the Dog

Some people can't have regular pets:

They're parents won't allow them.

They have allergies.

They live somewhere that won't allow pets.

They don't have enough money.

Or, they simply want a pet that can just sit there and look pretty that they do not have to care for.

Or, you can just be creative like us.

my teacher disaprooved,

so we were joking around;
