Cheetas
mike from The 4th planet from the sun -
My cheeta is very ill and I wanted to know where I could go to see what is wrong because strangly enough the vet said they dont treat cheetas.

I suggest you start calling local zoos and wild animal rescue centers and asking them who they would recommend. The zoo is likely the best bet as a zoo vet has to be able to treat all kinds of animals that aren't native to the area. But a zoo vet may not have a "private practice". If you have a wild animal refuge in the area that has big cats then they'll also have a vet. Either way they might be able to point you to the a vet in oyur area that will help you.

What is wrong with your cheetah? I agree with the upper response, call your local zoo. Do you have kids? I would be afraid to have a wild animal like that around my kids?

Yeah, calling zoos sounds like a great idea. That would be the best chance of finding someone who would understand what's wrong and what to do about it. I would also be concerned about having a wild animal like that around kids too. The animals do not often know that they are able to casually maim a child and they might just think they are playing.

good idea to call your zoo. Also try to call the shelter where found the cheeta. ask them what to do with your cheetas illness.Make sure your cheeta is safe in a place warm untill you find an answer.

If you seriously have a cheetah, I feel so sorry for it. You think you are capable of keeping a WILD ANIMAL like a cheetah as a pet, yet you don't even know how to spell it. Obviously you aren't giving it what it needs, as it's sick. It's unbelievable how easy it is for ignorant idiots who want to show off exotic "pets" to obtain them. I hope the zoo takes your animal away.

Hey! Cheetahs make amazing pet so you should just keep your ugly trap shut Jessi! As for you mike, you should call a wild vet they have specil training to deal with that.

hey jessi you shouldnt come on here critisizing people. you dont need to be able to spell cheetah to know how to care for it.also he hasnt even said whats wrong with it, it could be something simple, at the end of the day we all get ill at some point. mike is taking care of it or he wouldnt be searching for a vet. hows your cheetah now mike?
