'Small world story'

Here's one for the books. We had our first dog almost 12 years, he was a little over a year old and fully trained when we got him. Shutzhunds are not your average dog and he was better than most. So it was devastating when we finally had to put him down at just over 13 years old. Hubby was lookin for another on the internet but they can be very expensive. Then we got invited to go with some friends to Cabo for vacation and we met a gal there who lived 50 miles from us and her sister was dying of cancer and she had 2 that had been together since they were young. So she didn't want them separated. She was worried about finding someone that would understand their personalities and would be able to take both. We said we would be glad to. So this gal said she'd talk to her sister. A few months go by and her sister is reluctant, after all these are her babies and she doesn't know us, all she knows is her sis met us in Mexico. Then one day I get a call from my stepmom. She'd been visiting a friend from church at the hospital... You got it! It was the gal who owned the dogs and she was telling my stepmom that she wished she knew more about us but she felt like she was running out of time. When she found out I was related that made up her mind and we went down the next weekend to pick them up. As we were reviewing all the paperwork I suddenly realized that the female had the same grandsire as our first Shutzhund. Now just what are the odds of going to Mexico and meeting someone from so close to home, not to mention having her sister not only go to church for over a decade with your parents - but then for her to have a dog from Germany related to the dog you used to have? I'd say that qualifies as instant karma...lol
