Hi,

I have a two year old male Great Dane and about a month ago I noticed a small red bump on his lower hind leg (If he were human it would be his ankle). I first thought it was a blister of some sort but it started growing. It is still red, but now it is the size of a large blueberry?....and it is not smooth anymore it has a little more texture to it.

The vet said this may just be a wart but the only way to know for sure is to have it removed. Should I be worried, I have never seen anything like this and it is going to cost us upwards of $700 to remove it. Does anyone know what this might be?

Please email me at ejsgrl@yahoo.com

Thank You,

Christina

Hi everyone,

I have an 8 year old german shepard mix. He has had these lumps all over him for about 3 years now. He has a huge one on his neck(measures about 1 1/2" wide), which he has managed to scratch open and it has white puss stuff coming out of it and has an AWFUL smell. Is the smell from him licking it or could it be cancer? I wash it everyday and put peroxide on it and I found that Dr. Scholl's foot powder keeps the smell down, only for awhile though. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

To the poster above, are you an absolute idiot? Foot powder for an infected mass? TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE DAMN VET

Comment #29 you people serious? (141.151.75.198) -

Take your pets to the vet instead of doing risky to them.

Or find someone who can and will help them.

Hi, I have a 16 month old King Shepard/Boxer mix. He has a pea size pink lump or bump on his sack. It wasn't there a month ago.

I am worried but it doesn't seem to bother him and it hasn't changed his mood or behaviour in anyway. What is it?

hi im justin and about a year or 2 ago me and my dad found some kind of lump on my black labs side and after a couple of weeks it bigger and now it just hangs there like a kind of punching bag.

Is this thing on his skin a skin tumor or is it a cancer.

Hi my name is shannon and I have a 2 year old lab that I just brought to the vets today because he had a bump on his upper left leg. The vets told me it's either skin cancer or a tumer. I am going to get the surgery done next week, but my only concern is that will it come back? Is there anyone that can give me some advise on what to do or should get done. I have 2 small children that are worried as well and I want to do everything that I can. I wasen't sure if I should be doing the biopsey test before I go ahead with the surgery. Please help.

My 6 yr old dog (lab) also had a very larger growth on the inside of her ear..It was strawberry shaped..The vet used some type of freezing that stopped the growth of it and within a few days it just dropped off her ear..Not sure what type of freezing it was and I was surprised that it would actually fall off when they told me it would but in the end it did..The cost of this procedure was $50 Canadian..

Hope this helps someone in need. This has been our personal experience. You can help your pet at home, whether it's when all else fails, the prognosis is negative and time is short, or to go hand in hand with treatment from a compassionate, progressive vet:

internally:

1. feed raw diet, meat and veggies - chunked not ground

2. little to no cooked grains (wheat, rice, corn etc)

3. research and make your own decisions about raw bones, bone meal, raw eggs, ground shells etc.

4. juice made at home (cucumber, carrot etc google juice healing)

5. serrapeptase

6. age appropriate high quality dog supplements (look for those containing calcium, vitamin D, and phosphorus for older dogs)

7. Has a diagnosis of cancer been given? Try small doses of essiac for dogs (or make your own essiac aka essiak google Rene Caisse, essiac, essiac tea; oversized doses could cause the tumor to increase in size before it begins break down.

8. Fast animal one to two days per week to mimic nature. Gives the body a chance to take attention away from digestion and focus on rest, recuperation, and healing.

9. Cholodin.

Any change in diet will cause digestive distress for a few days, additionally healing sickness (google) could occur. The older and/or sicker your dog is, the more likely this is. It's actually a good sign, indicating a point of turn around (there may be several).

externally:

gse diluted

tea tree diluted

organic castor oil under bandages

t-touch

acupressure

massages and fairly long walks

Even an extremely elderly dog with signs of advanced illness and/or dementia can exhibit noticeable improvement in symptoms and demeanor within a few weeks. Your mileage may vary.

"My 9 months schnauzer has a growing wart"

Hi, I need help. My 9 months old mini schanuzer has a red wart that keeps growing in his back. I took him to the vet and she said it will desappear on it own. However, it just keep on growing. I know older dogs are more prone to warts, but he is still a puppy. I don't know what to do, what is it? Can someone help me, please!

thanks
