Do you put your dog in a seatbelt in the car?

I know it sounds silly but I have seen people that do actually strap their dog into a seatbelt and in fact there is a seatbelt out there that you can purchase for your dog.

I saw on tv just the other day the seatbelts for dogs. My dog is only about 4 lbs. I doubt they make them small enough for her. The only way my dog goes with me in the car is if there is a passenger that can hold her.

After my dad died my mom was still traveling back and forth from NY to FL and sometimes drove it my herself. She has a little Boston Terrier named Pudgie that travels with her. She needed to put Pudgie in a seatbelt. When she would get out to get gas the little thing would try and get out behind her. That was all she needed was to chase a dog around the highway in the middle of the night by herself. She got her a seatbelt and it worked pretty good I guess. I have never seen Pudgie in it but it prevented her from escaping on the trip with my mom.
