Found a starving Tree Walker up on the parkway in North Carolina. Apparently a he got left up there by a hunter. Sweet dog but a little jumpy. We suspect he was treated roughly. We do not have room and we have two Welch Springers that are show dogs. Hope to find a good home.

Our Walker Coon Dog was lost or stolen in June 8th in the vicinity of Faison NC. "Tater" is 4 months old, white, black and tan. Does this time frame seem possible for your found dog?

I have a 4 1/2 year old Walker Hound that I would like to find

a good home for. I am selling my house and most places won't

accept a dog. He would make a great hunting dog for someone!

I have 5 coon dogs and they are good hunting dogs but i have developed gout in my feet and i cannot take them hunting anymore and they need a good home. I have 3 walkers, 1 red tick and 1 black and tan but they are not registered but they are good hunting dogs and they love to go hunting. I hate to leave them in there pin day after day and not hunt them because they love to go out and hunt. They need a good home where they can be taken out and let them hunt. Thanks Jimmy

I have a beautiful female Walker coonhound that needs a good home. She is bright and active. No papers, is spayed and has a microchip. My husband and I are older- we tried to take her from a shelter, but she is too active for us- needs more room to run and someone to play with. If you are interested, let us know- we can deliver in Western North Carolina to a good home with room to run.

my daughter adopted a female coon hound stray from a website. the dog was found begging in a church during service in north carolina. people were yelling at her to leave. one woman felt sorry for her and too her home even though she couldn't keep her.she put her up for adoption on line which is where my daughter read about her. she adopted the dog and named her "cow-girl" unfortunatly my daughter lives in a city in rhode island. the dog needs lots or room to run and hunt and that isn't going to happen in cranston rhode island!! she feels very bad about the whole thing and would love to find an appropriate home for "cow-girl"

can someone help!!!!

I live in Phenix City, Al about 30 mins from opelika and i'm looking for a good coon hunting dog. Either a pup or a good adult dog that i can run. We rescued a female Treeing Walker Coonhound in Jan., 2009. Turned out she was a week pregnant, in addition to being emaciated, covered in ticks, and sores. She had her pups (7) in March, and we found great homes for all of them.

Lucy is a very sweet dog, approx. 8 - 9 yrs old, 48 lbs, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, flea/tick treatments, heartworms (she is positive, though mildly), and very athletic.

And that is the problem. Our 3/4 acre fenced in area is not enough for her. One of us has very bad knees and back, and the other travels for work a great deal, so neither of us can exercise her the way she needs. It breaks our hearts to have to give her up, but it is best for her.

We assume she hunted - we thought she would be freaked out by the July 4th fireworks since she's afraid of thunder. The exact opposite reaction is what we got. She was THRILLED to hear the firecrackers go off - she couldn't wait to get outside.

She is good with cats, friendly, and beautiful. Being a single dog, or at least one male in her pack, would be best.

Hi,

I have a 5-year-old Walker Tree Hound that I inherited from my son. She is a sweet and hilarious dog but she needs more attention than I can give her. She has an skin condition that is managed best in dry heat and she can't tolerate extreme cold temps. New Mexico or Arizona would be an ideal location. No papers and can't breed but sweet dog and great with kids. Needs constant companionship and room to run. I was thinking she would be great for the gentleman and kids in New Mexico who just lost their dog. We are in Colorado so can make arrangements to meet or deliver. She is 5 years old. Her name is Celee-jo.

My black and tan just passed away and i'm in need of a new coon dog. i'm from washington nc so it would be nice if i could locate one within a couple hundred miles. prefer walker, black and tan , bluetick , or redbone. New borns or young pups. thanks Floyd

Blue is a Walker Tree Hound, about 4-5 years old, spayed, chipped. Got her from a shelter at age 1. She is very protective, and is a house dog, and likes to ride inside a car. Although she can run like lightning, she could live inside a house 24 hours a day. Curing up in a dog bed is her idea of fun, ...is house broken and is not destructive.

Blue does not get along with another dog if there's food available. I do not want her around small children. She has never bitten a child, but she is agressive. She an "alpha" dog and thinks she is in-charge. Blue sleeps on my bed, and it breaks my heart to have to try to find her another home. In the Salt Lake City, Utah area... 801 253-7701
