I have a 68 lb., 15 year-old husky who fell down some stairs and ripped his ACL.
Even tho' he's 15 years old we had the lateral suture technique as he's in good health, has no other joint issues (NO arthritis) and he has another year or two of happy living ahead.
My concern is recuperation. I'm told to get him walking but some information indicates total rest. It's been two weeks since surgery and he's not getting up on his own but will totter about on three legs to go potty.
Anyone have this operation on an older dog or husky?! Any advice or encouragement?
