You say there are ways of dealing with cats behavior instead of declawing. That may very well be. However whats the problem with cats after there de-clawed?
I have had 8 cats of all different types and there all about 8-10 years old. They were all
de-clawed with in their first year. They are indoor cats and do not go outside. They have
always seemed happy, and healthy. We have no snags in our furniture and when small children are with them we never have problems with any scratches. So asides from tearing up stuff and hurting people and kids i see no reason for indoor cats to have claws. You say maybe because its not natural? Its not natural to keep animals in the first place, so that theory is wasted. So for the many people who furniture, carpet, kids, and more ever suffer from the claws. u just keep them claws... Right whatever...
Just taking your cat in the car is frightening to most cats. Being in the Vet is frightening and very dramatic on most cats. Lets not leave out sticking them with a needle or spaying them, etc.... So if it hurts them we should not do these things as well eh? I think people like you are kinda nuts and you dont see the whole picture of what we are doing to animals in the first place. They dont belong in our houses anyway. They stare outside, well like a caged animals. Wanting out. Thats what were doing wrong buddy, thats the torture. Go a little deeper. The de-claw is just not that big a deal... it helps in many ways to be a pet.
