Stray Cats

Personally we don't have any cats but I feel like we have about 10 from all the stray cats in our neighborhood. They go to the bathroom in our flower beds and on our porches, they sit on our cars, they get into the garbage and we hear fights at all hours of the night. Why do people just let their cats wonder all over the neighborhood? I would never let my dogs to wonder all over. I like cats but I don't like cats that are not taken care of. Anybody else have issues with stray cats where they live and if so is there anything that can be done about them?

Thank author of this post/commentAll the cats here seem well behaved. I saw two sleep on the hood of a car yesterday, it it was at their house. Many of them site on the window ledges by the sidewalk and usually let you pet them.

I once had a neighbor that claimed my cats did their thing in his yard and he said he would kill them if they kept it up. Funny thing was my cats never left the house.

Sure do! Up the road is this lady that has tons of outside cats that patrol the area. Its like a cat gang. If you are walking in the woods by the house the woods move. Thats how many cats are outside. They have their own community. I live far enough away that it doesnt bother me. I like wild cats. Keeps the mice away. Not to mention we live in a very rural animal and its nicer then seeing a raccoon.

Thank author of this post/commentWe have the same problem with a couple of our neighbor's cats. They're always in OUR yard, not our neighbor's. The other night there was a big cat fight in our backyard, I swear there must have been about 5 of them fighting out there. Hopefully none of them got hurt!!

Thank author of this post/commentWe have a craftsman style house and the cats sometimes get under the house through a small hole in the bricks. We try to keep it covered, but they still get in some how and then they use the bathroom under there, but at least we don't have any mice like the rest of the neighbors do.
