hey my cat has had two litters before but i never knew that she was going to have them and i was never home. he mother and grand mother kittys have also had many litters but i have never been home to know when they were going to have them. she is rly fat and her nipples arnt swollen yet but it has been along time since she has been outside and we only let her out cuz she was in heat and wouldnt stop meowing.her belly is hard and i was wondering wat that means. she doesnt yell but she kneeds the bed like she is going to sharpen her nails but she doesnt. she always wants to be in my room because it is rly warm compared to the rest of my house and she rly likes my closet i think it is because it is dark. she also rly likes boxs whenever she can get in one she does but she never has her babys i rly wanna know how much longer until her babys will be born

Signs your cat is about to pop:

1) Waddles around looking as if she has swallowed a bowling ball.

2) Meows CONSTANTLY.

3) Licks herself all over.

4) Seeks out a dark secluded place.

5) The ever-mentioned discharge.

6) My loco-en-la-cabeza (Spanish for INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE) Russian Blue usually has a temperament that is WORSE than Satan and Godzilla combined, well as I type that has changed to better than Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa combined. VERY vocal now too.

I hope its soon now because she is HUGE.

We do not know when my cat mated. But this is her second litter so we kinda know what to do. just last night she started being very afectionante and so we layed towels out on my bed cuz it gets messy. also her eyes turned green and she is constantly eating she also trys to stay away from my dog wich is very unlikely cuz she loves my dog. We think she will have them today or tomorow!!!!!

its me again. this morning my cat started meowing all weird and has been scratching the area around her food bowl. does this mean shes almost ready? plus, shes been a lot more affectionate and she loves my dog, but ysterday my dog went near her and kitty, (my cat) started growling. shes also been avoiding her food, but she does drink a lot. im just afraid i wont be home when she has them. i desperatly need help cause im only 14 and know nothing about a cats pregnancy. plz help!!!

If your cat is acking different around the house and don't know were they are, they might be under the bed or can be in the closet. If you are worried about your cat, don't be worried beacuse they can take care of them self. When i had my fat cat i was so worried that she might have her kittens outside or in the backyard. We made a box big enough to fit alot of kittens. Our little fat cat was huge and i thought she was going to have her kittens at 5:00 in the moring. But i made a mistake, my mom and i went to work and school the next day. Then we came inside and i saw 4 little kittens in the box that we all made.So if you looked at the advice that we gave you, SO don't be worried and make a box for your cat and also look out for her or him. age 10

Hello. After reading all of the posts here my question is still not fully answered. Someone please lend me a little advice. I mated my cat about the first week of Feb. 2008 and figure shes due about the first week of April. However I am thinking that I should be able to feel the kitten(s) by now and I can't, I took her to the vet yesterday and he says that he feels liquid in the abdomin but no kittens ... if she is pregnant its not many ... She is showing all the signs of extra lovingness and she just started meowing like crazy today. I'm not sure if she is showing heat again or if she is really pregnant and finally feels something. I cannot tell if shes nesting or not with 2 little kids running around destroying the house and anything she may have made herself but she loves us all and sleeps with each of us on different nights. I hope she is but I'm thinking shes not. Please help. jberlovan@yahoo.com Thanks. !!

i have 2 cats who are both nearly 1 year old, they are male and female. we only got our male cat castrated about a month ago, and before that he was always trying to mate with our female.

im not sure if they ever did male fully, but he always tried.

now shes really fat, and im not sure if shes pregnant or just big cos she eats LOADS.

she's a small cat anyway, apart from her big belly.

the mate cat is quite skinny even though he eats plently too, so she just looks even bigger compared to him.

is she probably pregnant?

Meow ... Meow ... Meow! And once more: Meow!!! The results of 65 days of cat pregnancy! A nest of cute little kittens!

Or is this meowing coming from your queen that just returned from an unplanned meeting with a friendly tom?

Oops, she is pregnant!

And now what?

Well, this is the number one web site on feline pregnancy.

Cat Pregnancy Report tells you what's going to happen the coming months.

How can you recognize the signs of feline gestation? What are the risks? Possible complications? How does a cat give birth? And how can you help her?

And once they are there, what should you feed these cute little cats? How do you train kittens?

What if they don't use the litter box?

Yes these little balls of fur are great fun, but they require a lot of attention!

You'll find the answers here. So ... visit this site - there are over 200 pages of articles here and more information is added regularly. You can even share your experience with pregnant cats!

You don't want to miss a thing?

Then ... visit the Cat Blog or get all the newest additions and updates straight through RSS. You don't know what RSS is? There's a link "What's an RSS feed?" in the bar at the left-hand side that explains it all.

Pregnancy is not an issue that stands alone. Cat health in general is important too. How can you prevent worms? How can you detect serious illnesses?

And what to think of cat behavior? Are felines really living by themselves? Or do they have a social life? And what kind of cat furniture should you buy?

Maybe you want to know about cat breeds like Siamese cats, Persian cats, Maine Coon cats ... this web site tells you all about them.

And yes, you can avoid pregnancy. It is even highly recommended. But you can’t do it with a pill. It's covered here as well.

There are also the Cat Pregnancy Forums where you can get help - or help others.

My cat, Deja, is on her third litter. When I notice she doesn't want to go outside anymore I go to the store and find the biggest box they have and put a soft towel or blanket in it. She lies in it sometimes, it mostly is for after she has her kittens so they don't get lost. I noticed that she also gets very loving and wants me to pet her constantly, especially when she has contractions. It also soothes her to tell her what a good job she's doing and to tell her that I love her. You can also see in there eyes when they are in labor. She let me and my children be in the room with her while giving birth. She had 4 and by the 3rd one she was so tired and couldn't eat the sac so I took a clean wash rag and gently rub it away from the face and help stimulate the kitten until she could eat all of it. A cat is pregnant for 9 weeks and between 6-7 weeks you should be able to see the kittens moving. So my Deja's time should be within the next week or so. I keep her in my bedroom where it is quiet and secluded. If you are crazy like me, lol, I call myself a grandma when she has them. So, goodluck to all you grandma's and grandpa's out there!

Briana roberts... The first thing is to be calm. Most animals can do this on their own and you don't have to do a thing. I would try to watch her just incase she does have trouble delivering.Make sure that after the kitten is born that she licks the yucky stuff off the kitten and that she chews the cord off between her and the kitten.Labor really depends on her, if she feels threatened she will stop labor and start again tomorrow. Also depends on how many kittens she's gonna have.My cat had four, she started at 2:30 pm and was done around 7-8 pm that night. Good luck Briana and keep me informed!
