'Another use for cat litter'

No top of being used for the cat i found out recently that kittie litter is excellent for oil spills. Our burner recently started leaking and this cleaned up the spill. Also in a pinch it can be used in the place of salt on ice patches.

Well, that explains what our neighbor was doing in his driveway. LOL. I couldn't figure out what he was putting on the oil spill on their driveway. I just thought that maybe it was sand. LOL

I have heard of this too. My neighbor had a leak in their driveway and went over there and asked what the kitty litter was for and they said that there were soaking up the spill. I was like go figure just one more thing that has 2 purposes. I love things that can be used for more than one thing. Great way to save money too.

Yes, I have also seen people use cat litter to clean up oil. Most people in our area seem to use sand, but I think anything of that type of texture could soak up the oil.
