Hi my nick name is animal lover and i am 12, I was playing down ball at school and i saw a boy smash eggs on the ground, i went over there and grabbed the last egg in his hands gently, i told the teacher what he did, but i did'nt tell the teacher i had the egg cause they don't know anything about animals they dont care. So an hour later after having the bird egg in my pocket with my hands clasp around it, I started walking home when the bell went, the walk took an hour and when i got home i took a abandond nest from a tree in my backyard and placed the egg gently in the nest, then i got some cotton and put it on top of the egg, and then i got a thermometer and placed it over the egg, then i turned on the lamp, the average temp. is 37. I inspected the egg, and knew what type if bird it was it was a red wattle bird and the egg had just been layed. I would like to know how long will a red wattled birds egg hatch? By animal lover

It depends on what type of bird it is, sometimes it can take days, to months to even years! If you can tell me what type of bird it is, or give an discription i can answer.

Hens: 21 days

ducks: 28 days

turkey: 28 days

Crows: 19 days

Magpies: 24 days

Sparrows: 11 days

Maggielark: 16 days

please dont interfear with birds or there nests, Dont touch any of the eggs beacuse of the human smell will cause the parents to abandoned it! I have raised birds from eggs to death of old age and they have been... magpies, crows, pidgeons, sparrow, mudlarks, eagals, hawks, falcons, hurt pet birds, red wattle bird, the yellow wattle bird, starlings, sea gulls.

I found a little white egg in my backyard and it had a very very tiny hole on it. Will it still live?And also it had vessels in it.....I think.I put it on top of cottons and put it under a lamp. As I said will it live?

I have a pair of cockatiels trying to bread but after they lay the first time 7 second time 3 eggs and after sitting on them for two weeks taking terms the hen doesn't sit on them during the nightand in the morning the eggs are cold.
