I found an egg in the a nest in the snow and i don't know what kind they are or if they are a live. They are smaller than chicken eggs and just a litle bit over a humming bird egg. What are they?

Hello All... i just got out of bed and went downstairs into my living room about... say 15 minutes ago...ish... And in aproximatley the exact centre of the room was a small completely pales white birds egg... i get the feeling that my brothers cat has braugh it in as the windows are all closed... i have held it to a bright light and i think it has an embryo inside but not sure... does any1 know how to look after such an egg? And does anyone know what kind of bird this might have come from?At 1st i thought one of my pet snakes had escaped and layed it but they wer in thier cage still XD An heres a lil note for former poster "tabitha chan" The egg(s) You have found are Thrush eggs, i know this because about 5/6 weeks ago a mother Thrush made a nest in my back garden and layed 5 eggs, we caught the bird and took it to my moms along with the nest coz the cats would have killed it and we put it in her back garden, it seemed fine there... unfortunatley when they hatched they all died :( 1 got caught by a cat the others we think died trying to learn to fly as they wernt cut or anything. Hope all u egg fans are having fun :P Ttyl all!

we found a egg! the egg was white with brown spots and was really small about a half inch. what kind of bird was it?

the bird egg that was described might be a kill deer egg the are small because of the size of the bird it has come from and if you have found them by rocks or just hidden by bushes in an open area those are pobaly kill deer eggs.

i have been studying birds for two years now and CONGRATS u have found an egg. when i found an egg on the ground once i was so exited but then i accedently squished because this was when i was little its exciting to find an egg but its very rare for it to live because it was probably was taken from the nest and carried somewhere else by an animal. the egg might be a wood pecker im not sure there are about 22 different birds that lay white eggs they are very common but anyways congrats on the eggtry to see if its alive mine wasnt when i had mine
