My friend told me if i put a mirror in a bird cage that the bird enjoys it and will play with the mirro it as if its another bird. Is this true?

I have a small mirror in my birds cage. They seem to like it a lot but it is hard to tell.

If you want your parrot to learn to talk and to bond with you, you must remove the mirror. Otherwise, the bird will bond tot he "birdie in the mirror", even courting it and brining up food to feed it. I always recommend no mirrors for companion parrots of any species.
