'Free Sun Conure'

I have available to a good home a friendly, affectionate male sun conure. The bird is a little over three years old, healthy and has a bright shiny coat.

The Bird is free........so what is the catch, all I want is for it to have a good home, and to go to an experienced bird owner. This is a noisy bird, not matter how much attention you give it..it will scream for hours till it gets more attention...if the phone rings..it is impossible to answer the phone, you have to just walk outside. The bird is simply too noisy for our taste....if you understand conures and know how they can be, or if you have an outdoor aviary......would be a good deal. This thing is too noisy for me....

The bird is located in Lexington, South Carolina.

If someone drives your house and picks up the bird there is no catch... if you want to ship the bird overseas... then there is probably not any bird at all!

Hi there. I saw your ad and we're very interested in your sun conure. We have a lot of experience with birds. We've had many zebra finches, now have 2 cockatiels, and a quaker parrot.

Would you be willing to ship it to Texas? If so, how much $?

You are in Lexington, South Carolina. I would love to bring him into the family! We are in Virginia. My daughter, who has the family Conure, is coming up here, but not for two weeks. Would you want to hold onto him till then? If not I understand, but I sure would love to have him. I will be alone this summer and he would make great company!

HI i was wonder ing if your conure is still avalible. I have two parakeets for 6 months and I volenter at a pet store and I have a conure on my shoulder for half the day!

I have a truly loving, extraordinarily happy conure. He (?) is 8 and he was with me and my ex husband the entire 8 years. Sadly for Tumbala and I, because of life transitions, (divorce and now grad school)I need to find a new home for him. It has been a heartwrenching decision, but he has become neglected and confined to his cage due to my work and school schedule and traveling overseas for study. Tumbala is really quiet compared to other Conures. He greets with screams when I get home or wake in the morning, but other than that, he's pretty content to do his own thing as long as I'm in his sight. Of course he would prefer to be on me all the time. He is on me when I'm on my treadmill for a daily 3 mile run, he snuggles and sleeps inside my shirt or blanket at night when I'm watching TV, he eats/drinks everything that I'm eating/drinking. He loves to dance to music, and kiss, and garden outside, and take showers together (sorry--that likely sounds weird to some people). He's an amazing bird. Extremely well mannered, very disciplined. Does great with dogs, but gets jealous sometimes. He gets along really well with cockatiels and parakeets. He IS afraid of cats though and will attack cat tails. If there is a bird lover who would be interested in adopting Tumbala, please contact me at my email address provided. I have to be selected about his placement. He is a fantastic creature who deserves a great, loving, permanent, attentive home.

I have read many of your messages and I feel sorry for those who must past their loving birds to another. I have great past and present and (hopefully) future experiance with birds, dogs, and cats. i have three dogs, three cats (1 expecting) and two conures and I am waiting for my 3rd bird. i am interested in some of your conures and might be glad to take them. If you do your conure will be in great, and loving home.

Is your conure still available? I grew up with birds, my father had an aviary and he had hundreds of parakeets. I have 2 parakeets now. I have been looking at the conures for quite a while; they look like interesting birds. I am pretty good with birds (our parakeets anyway).
